Dental Implants

At Marsh Road Dental, we have years of experience in the placing of quality dental implants. Implants one of the most aesthetic and cost efficient ways to replace poor or missing teeth. Used to support a single crown, bridge containing two or more teeth or a denture covering your entire upper or lower jaw, implants offer a long lasting, effective solution and most importantly, help to bring back that confident smile.

What is an Implant?

Implants ensure aesthetic, durable smiles through tiny ‘fixtures’ that take the place of the original root of the tooth. Gently implanted under local anaesthetic, the titanium ‘roots’ bond with a patient’s bone, providing more stability than a natural tooth’s root. Dental implants can be used in a variety of situations to replace an individual tooth or even a full denture. Crowns, bridges and dentures can all be attached to dental implant to give the most natural, secure and long term solution for the replacement for missing teeth.

What can I hope to achieve with Dental Implants?

Improved function, meaning you can eat, laugh and smile with confidence.
Improved dental hygiene
Increased confidence
Better aesthetics
Improved quality of smile
Reduction in bone loss
No need to drill or remove any healthy tooth structure

How long does the procedure take and is it painful?

Implants are applied in familiar surroundings under local anaesthetic, meaning an almost pain-free procedure, with occasional swelling and/or tenderness for a few days post- surgery.

The entire process and the building of the new teeth can be accomplished in as little as three months, though the upper teeth or replacing a complete denture with permanent teeth normally requires 5 to 6 months.

Are you a candidate for dental implants?

If you are missing one or more of your teeth due to disease, or injury, you may be a candidate for dental implants at Marsh Road Dental.
